Anyone can be an agvocate! Whether you’re a consumer or producer, we all have an important role to play in the agri-food supply chain. Celebrate and promote Ontario’s bounty of fresh, high-quality foods by participating in these annual events.
Ontario Agriculture Week
Source Local Food Fest to celebrate Ontario Agriculture week across the province! Come and enjoy lunch, free to the first 200 people and take a moment to connect with some of the producers that grow your food. Learn how to source food locally at farmers' markets as well as in the grocery store. We will be on site at the following locations from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Monday, October 3: The Marina, Festival area, Thunder Bay, ON.
Tuesday, October 4: Dundas Place, London, ON in front of Fanshawe College.
Thursday, October 6: Algonquin College, Ottawa campus.
To round out Ontario Agriculture week and to celebrate the harvest:
Friday, October 7: Andrews Farm & Winery, 9635 10 Side Road, Milton starting at 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Connect with local producers, see farm animals, learn about the value of choosing Ontario-grown and produced products, enjoy a corn roast, or sample something new. Every child will leave with a jack-be-little.
